Ponte Chiodo (Nail Bridge)
Chiodo Bridge is located in Venice, in the Cannaregio district. It crosses the Rio di San Felice and has a feature that makes it unique in Venice: it has no parapets. In past centuries, and up until the nineteenth century, most bridges in Venice did not have parapets. It was therefore decided relatively recently to equip the existing bridges with parapets (called spallette in Venetian dialect) in order to improve pedestrian safety.
The name “Chiodo” comes from the family who lived in the palace overlooking the bridge — the Chiodo family, in fact.
Another bridge without parapets can still be found in Torcello: the Devil’s Bridge.
Reflections 01 – Boat
Intaglio print on a copper plate. The techniques used are:
– Etching, to create the lines of the drawing, and
– Aquatint, to achieve tonal gradations and create a sense of depth.
They are the result of a personal study on the reflections of Venice’s architectural elements in the water, almost creating a double of the city distorted by the constant breathing of the lagoon.

Santa Maria del Giglio
Santa Maria del Giglio is a church in Venice.
The church is more commonly known as the Church of Santa Maria Zobenigo, after the Jubanico family who founded it in the 9th century. The building is located in Campo Santa Maria Zobenigo, west of St. Mark’s Square. It was rebuilt by Giuseppe Sardi for Admiral Antonio Barbaro between 1678 and 1681 and has one of the finest Venetian Baroque façades in all of Venice.

Venetian house in the Castello district
This drypoint print depicts a Venetian house located in the Castello district, near San Giovanni e Paolo and Santa Maria Formosa.
This house is one of the few in the city surrounded on three sides by three different canals: the Rio di Santa Marina, the Rio di San Giovanni Laterano, and the Rio Tetta. This feature makes the house one of the most curious and photographed in Venice.
