Gondola on the Grand Canal
Gondola on the Grand Canal is a drypoint print depicting a typical Venetian scene: a gondolier peacefully rowing his gondola along the most beautiful street in the world, the Grand Canal of Venice.
Piscina de Frezzaria Bridge — Drypoint
At the beginning of the 16th century, Frezzaria was an area dedicated to the production and sale of highly prized handcrafted goods, particularly arrows (hence the name Frezze). It is located in the San Marco district, very close to La Fenice Theatre.
Shells
Conchiglie is an etching based on a drawing I made from life – I collected these shells on the beach of the Lido of Venice.
The shells are two Bolinus brandaris, one Aporrhais pespelecani, and one Chlamys glabra.
Shore Crab
Engraving of a shore crab (Carcinus aestuarii). This type of crab typically lives along coastlines, is native to the Mediterranean Sea, and can easily be found throughout Italy.
